Scrapbook For Teenager 12x12"

Hello lovely people !

Hope you all are doing well.. I am here on my blog to share my new Scrapbook.

This is a huge one which measures 12x12 inches and is customized for a teenager's 9th birthday celebration.

This is a gift from a lovely Mom to her daughter as a Birthday Gift with all her photos and keepsakes :)

Birthday Girl is a fond of Blue and all things colorful. Her Mom requested me to make something as per daughter's choice.

So, to make this Scrapbook I picked up Often paper pack (12x12") by Papericious. I found this paper pack perfect to fulfill my client's colors requirement.

Here is what I have created..

12x12" layout for two photos.

For the layout of my Scrapbook I have used 3 papers from Often paper pack by Papericious. Firstly, I took the Navy Blue paper with stars design on it for the base of my LO... than I wanted to use a simple paper so I took the light shade paper with big checks on it from the same paper pack, cut it around 10x10" and pasted in the center. After that I picked up the dark and light blue polka dots print on white paper for Photo Mats of my LO.
Used some flowers, die cuts, pearls and alpha stickers to mention 9th b' day and the lovely Scrapbook LO is ready in no time :)

Sharing few more clicks of the layout ..

My client was super happy with this Layout and colorful inside pages .... Have a look at inside pages too ..

Baby Girl Scrapbook

Hello friends, a warm welcome to my blog.

Today I'm here to share my latest Baby Scrapbook for a Girl.. This is a Record Book to record her details and activities of one year.

Also, this post is for June Challenge at the Papericous blog. This is a very first time I'm participating in a challenge and that on a blog challenge...so wish me luck :)
I have used "Little Angel" paper pack by Papericious to make this Scrapbook.

Cover Page
For cover I have used Two papers from the pack. First one is a big polka dot design paper (this is my favorite design from the pack) and second paper is the multi colored dotted lines.

Close up view of Cover

Papericous papers are the most important element in my cover page as it has given a bright and cute look to my scrapbook which I actually want to have :)
I have used some embellishments like trim, wooden frame, paper flowers, sentiments stickers, pearls and a big butterfly die cut. Also I made a paper stencil and used it to highlight the inside border of my layout which is complimenting the dotted lines paper.

Just see the bright and beautiful colors of these papers..

Love Scrapbook Tutorial

Hello friends, Welcome to my blog:)

I'm sharing a Mini Scrapbook today, which measures 6x6 inches approx.

Cover page of the Scrapbook

Now, how I designed this cover page :

I took the paper with red hearts on white background for the cover. And I used the gray color paper from the pack for the couple die cut, here I wanted to have some design on the lady's dress so I used that paper in such a way that the corner design became a dress of the lady and shoe of the man .. Than I used the same paper for the flower and heart with a handwritten sentiment and to highlight all the elements I've used red color vellum paper, you can use any dark red paper for the same.
And finally added a lace on the borders for finishing and tied two laces on the rings to give my cover a cute look :)

Sharing few more pictures of inside pages...

Tutorial - Altered Memory Box / Gift Box

Hello lovely people! Hope you all are doing well :) Today I'm sharing a pictorial of Wooden Memory Box.

Firstly, I would like to show you all what I am writing about and how actually it looks.. Please go through this video...

For this project I've used  "Floral Logs" and "Ornate Annie" paper packs by an Indian brand Bob n Betty from Crafters Corner.

This is the first time I'm working with Bob n Betty papers and the experience was amazing :)

So let's begin...

Materials required :

MDF box ( I've used 6x6" box),
Acrylic color of your choice,
Pattern Papers (14-15 sheets of 6x6"),
Cardstock (any color of your choice),
Ribbon,
Glue / Double sided thin tape,
Scissor,
And some decorative material (not compulsory).

         Take your MDF (wooden) box.

1) Paint it with any acrylic color of your choice, from inside as well.
As some people don't like to paint , you can just color the borders of your box because when we will stick the pattern papers only the border will be visible. So you can save your time and colors by using this tip :P

2) Now cut your pattern papers for all the sides of your box, here my box size is 6x6 inches so I'm cutting my paper a little less than my box.

3) I started pasting my papers from the lid of the box.

Cut down paper for all the sides.

 4) Cover all the sides of your box with pattern paper.

5) Cut two more pattern papers and paste them from inside as shown in the picture.

6) Now, take card stock of whatever size you have.. I measured 4.5 x 4.5 inches for each flap.

7) Make fan folds (accordion folds) as shown in the picture. As I want to add more photos and messages I want to add more flaps so leave some extra part (left side), this will help you to add more flaps.

8) Add glue / double sided thin tape on that extra part.

9) And stick another flap on it , make sure you do this on the back side.

This is how it will look from back. You can add as many flaps as you want by using the same technique...

10) Now we will need pattern papers for our flaps, so I have cut them a little less than 4.5 x 4.5 inch (flap size).

Cut paper for all the flaps.

11) I've distressed the edges of papers with black distress ink. This is not compulsory, you can avoid this step but if you do, it gives a fine look to the edges of your paper.

 12) Than paste the papers on all the flaps.

Note: As you can see in this image I've added a ribbon on the top flap so that it is easy to pick up the flap from the box.

              Flaps are ready now.

13) Now apply glue on the back of last flap and stick inside the box.

Your memory box is almost ready.

Now comes the decoration part :)

I've used some Flowers, Pearl Stickers and Lace to decorate my box.

This can also be used as a trinket box, jewelry box or add a little gift inside and give to your loved ones.

Hope you all like this and find it useful .. Do leave your comments below, would love to hear from you :)

Lots of love,
Rashmi Jajodiya
